The Floor Library is a carefully selected collection of feminist texts from around the world.

Books written by women or with women in mind: classic and contemporary novels, poems, essays, works of psychology, philosophy, health guides or wellness compendia. It features Mary Wollstonecraft and Chimamanda Ngozie-Adichie on the rights of women, Jamaica Kincaid, Alison Bechdel and Chantal Akerman on their mothers, Roxane Gay and Rebecca Traister on being angry, Betty Friedan, Jane Austen, Arundhati Roy, Sei Shonagon and many more…

Our beautiful shelves are also hand-built by an upstate based artist and woodworker.
